...like a taxi. The meter just keeps a-ticking whether you are getting somewhere or just standing still. (I've seen some pretty bad 'life is' quotes. This is amongst the worst I've read.)
...a grindstone. Whether it grinds us down or polishes us up depends on us. (Hmm)
...like riding a bicycle. You don't fall off unless you plan to stop pedaling. (Any ideas?)
...a great big canvas, and you should throw all the paint on it you can. (Gotta have color in your life!)
...a banquet, and most poor suckers are starving to death! (WTF)
...like a hot bath. It feels good while you're in it, but the longer you stay in, the more wrinkled you get. (Can't argue with that)
...either a daring adventure, or nothing. (Hell yeah!)
...good, without it we'd all be dead. ( )
...a whim of several billion cells to be you for a while. (Thanx Groucho)
